In 2013 star violinist Leonidas Kavakos joined forces with renowned Italian pianist Enrico Pace for a multi-awarded music project: the recording of the Complete Sonatas for Violin & Piano by Ludwig van Beethoven (1770-1827), who composed 10 works for this specific combination of instruments. This extremely popular piece over the centuries is considered as one the shiniest jewels of the chamber music repertoire. Seemingly, the name “Spring” was given to it after Beethoven’s death.
