The film “La bella estate/Beautiful Summer”, an adaptation of Cesare Pavese's 1949 novel of the same name, was included in the 2023 Locarno official selection. The soundtrack was written by the Italian composer, arranger and actor Francesco Cerasi, whose work combines various styles of music. Interesting fact: Cerasi has composed the OST of the comedy “Lezioni di cioccolato/Lessons in Chocolate” (2007).

Glorious come-back of one of the trendiest desserts of the 1990’s: Vanilla panna cotta (i.e., cooked cream)! Served here with caramel sauce and dried figs marinated in semisweet white wine. Discretely sweet, refreshingly light.
