Can burgers be healthier? Absolutely.
Skip the chips, mayonnaise, bacon, cheese and ketchup. Avoid cooking with poor-quality fats. Instead, make them with organic minced veal, oat flakes, fine sea salt from Missolonghi and extra virgin olive oil from Kefalonia.
My Greek burger is served simply, with thin slices of radish, rings of orange and yellow peppers, a few drops of pomegranate vinegar and a twist of freshly ground black pepper.
Fresh, flavourful and proof that a burger doesn’t have to be heavy to be satisfying.
