Tassos Boulmetis’ film “A Touch of Spice” (“Politiki Kouzina”) was released in 2003. The screenplay was based on Boulmetis’s personal experiences. “A Touch of Spice” was one of the most sensational hits of the Greek box office in the 2000s, and Greece’s 2005 Oscar entry. The OST, which was written by composer and violinist Evanthia Reboutsika (1958-), includes music and songs performed by Greek and Turkish soloists, as well as by the members of the Bulgarian Radio Symphony Orchestra.

Chasing away my summer blues with one of my favourite childhood dishes: bucati with veal and tomato sauce (kokkinisto). Tender bio veal clod cooked with organic Greek EVOO, tomatoes, onion, garlic, bay leaves, rosemary, thyme, and a touch of spice: cinnamon, black pepper, allspice. Grateful to my friends for helping me choose the right veal cut for my recipe and for sharing their wise cooking tips with me. And their fabulous home-made dried tomato paste too!
