Published in 2003, the album “Beyond the Bosphorus” blends traditional music with jazz and funk. For its release, Mode Plagal, the band that has been described as “the preeminent ambassadors of the Greek music in the 21st century”, collaborated with the Turkish group Bosphorus. Mode Plagal's style draws from rebetika and the dance music of the Balkans, Thrace, Asia Minor, and the Eastern Mediterranean.

If the weather outside is frightful, the soup is always so delightful! Plain and simple pagrus with winter vegetables (potatoes, onions, carrots, and celery root cooked separately), lemon juice and extra virgin olive oil. Bon appétit, dear musicooks!
