“Frangosyriani”, the most iconic song of rebetiko, the Greek blues, was written by Markos Vamvakaris (1905-1972), who composed a great number of songs and tunes that can be heard and sung even today. Their sincere and sometimes painful language speaks to every listener, regardless the age – or occasion. Markos’s songs have been revisited by various modern Greek groups, among which Locomondo.

Coffee. The Greek version. Served with rose liqueur and rose loukoum. Brazilian blend with cardamom. Its aroma becomes even stronger if you cook it on embers. A bitter aftertaste counterbalanced by the pink sweetness of a delicate flower.
